According to recent reports, Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM Lens is coming next. This Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM lens will be the world’s fastest 14mm full frame lens in Sony G Master (GM) arsenal, so it could be very expensive.
The wide angle prime optic will be well-suited to landscape, nature, street photography and astrophotography. As a side note, this lens will be about the same size and build quality as the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM. More details after the break!
There were several reports that Sony could announce the FE 16mm f/1.8 GM lens in early 2021. It looks like this has been changed into the FE 14mm f/1.8 GM. Currently, the widest angle f/1.8 FE lens for Sony mirrorless cameras is the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art FE ($1,599). This 14mm is expected to be smaller and lighter than the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens.
