According to the report from FujiAddict, the Fujifilm X-H line is not cancelled and the Fujifilm X-H2 mirrorless camera is coming in the near future.
So the Fujifilm X-H2 mirrorless camera is on the horizon and it is nice to know that the company will continue this series. The X-H line stands out with the deeper grip and video features. The release date of the Fujifilm X-H2 camera is expected to be 2021. Fujifilm XT4 is not a replacement for the X-H1 and it will be more time between these models and also Fuji will monitor the market in this period.
Various details have been made about the Fujifilm X-H2 features before. As of today, considering that the new X-T4 camera will use the same 26MP APS-c sensor as the X-T3, we can now imagine a new sensor for the Fujifilm X-H2. See full Fujifilm X-T4 specifications.
The new sensor has to provide less noise and more dynamic range so Fuji could lower the resolution for it. So we can even talk about 20 or the same 24MP sensor for Fuji X-H2. On the video side we can see 4K 60p DCI with 10-bit 4:2:0.
FujiAddict reports that the Fuji X-H line is not canceled as previously reported and there will be a new Fuji X-H2 camera coming in the future:
My most reliable source for rumors that told me about Fujifilm having a meeting in November 2019 about the future of the Fujifilm X-H2 has finally gotten back to me with the results from the meeting… and it looks like the X-H line will live on but as a true flagship camera unlike its previous end of generation launch with the X-H1 that left it behind the X–T3 that was released shortly after the launch of the X-H1. All that is known at this time is that X-H2 will come with a new sensor and likely a new processor or two in the camera along with more videocentric features.
So we are going to meet the Fujifilm X-H2 but not in 2020 as rumors suggests. The flagship mirrorless camera should arrive in the beginning of 2021 if everything goes well. After that we might see Fujifilm X-T5, Fujifilm X-Pro4 and more.
The X-H1 camera for body-only is priced for $1,899.95 and with Vertical Power Booster Grip Kit costs at $2,199.95.
