Nikon Z50 APS-C Mirrorless Camera Coming Soon with 2 DX Z NIKKOR Lenses

First Nikon Z-mount APS-C mirrorless camera is on the horizon. According to recent rumors, it will be called Nikon Z50.

The Nikon Z50 APS-C Mirrorless Camera to be announced soon with  NIKKOR Z DX 16-55mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 Lens. 

DX-format Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera will feature 20MP APS-c sensor and offer 11fps burst. The new camera will use the Nikon EN-EL25 Battery.

New Olympus 500mm MFT Lens is in the Works

The Japanese website Newswitch published an interview with Olympus executive officer Shigemi Sugimoto.

From the interview, “A super telephoto lens that reaches 1000mm in full frame equivalent is under development, and it will reach 2000mm with a 2x teleconverter.”

As you might remember back in June, Olympus has officially announced the 2X teleconverter MC-20 (Adorama | B&H) that is compatible with the company’s 40-150mm f/2.8 and 300mm f/4 Pro lenses. The M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20 will also compatible with the 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS Pro which is currently under development.

Canon RF 70-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens Patent

Here is a Canon patent application for a RF 70-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens. Designed for Canon full frame mirrorless camera system, this lens is the EOS R version of the budget-friendly telephoto zoom for the consumer market.

Nikon Z8 Rumored to Feature 60MP Sensor and 16-bit NEF Files

According to a leaked screenshot of a new camera manual, Nikon will announce a new mirrorless camera that features 60.8MP (9552×6364) sensor which is able to shoot 16-bit RAW NEF files (Nikon will introduce a lossy compressed RAW codec to reduce the file size). The previous rumors claimed that the IMX455 Sony 61MP sensor which is already used on Sony A7R IV will be on the next Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. Possible candidate for this sensor is the Nikon Z8.

Back in April 2019, we reported that both Nikon D860 and Nikon Z8 cameras might use 60MP IMX455AQR Sensor from Sony. The Sony IMX455AQR sensor features 60MP, 8k video, and offers native 64 ISO. It’s being said that the Sony 60MP sensor PDAF is supposed to be better than the Multi-CAM 20000 currently used in some Nikon cameras. See Sony A7R IV specifications. Fujifilm X-Pro3 unveiled with Titanium Body, Hidden LCD and New Film Simulation

Fujifilm have unveiled the new X-Pro3 rangefinder-style mirrorless camera at an X-summit event in Shibuya, Japan. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 camera will be officially announced on October 23rd.

For a development announcement, Fuji actually shared quite a bit about the camera in their livestream. The new model will be made out of titanium, making it 10x more scratch-resistant than a stainless steel chassis.

It will also feature an innovative “hidden” LCD screen on the rear, plus a smaller miniature screen which will display basic exposure information and even the currently selected film simulation.  Other new features include a Classic Negative film simulation mode, improved optical and electronic viewfinders.

Canon EOS Ra Astrophotography Camera Coming in 2020

Canon is planning to introduce a full frame mirrorless camera in EOS R lineup dedicated for astrophotography. This model will be named as Canon EOS Ra, and it is already appeared on an internal Canon roadmap for 2020.

In the past, Canon has released several DSLR models such as EOS 20Da and EOS 60Da for astrophotography. Currently, there is no specs about this EOS Ra full frame astrophotography camera..

Canon EOS-1D X Mark III Rumors Update (6K Video No Crop, New DIGIC and IBIS)

According to latest rumors, the upcoming Canon EOS-1D X Mark III will arrive in 2020, ahead of Tokyo Olympic games.  1D X Mark III is rumored to have very exciting specs that promise to compete with, and possibly outperform, Nikon’s upcoming D6.

EOS-1D X Mark III will be able to shoot 6K video with no crop, feature dual CFexpress card slots, new DIGIC image processor, and IBIS. Canon EOS R Firmware Update Version 1.4.0 to be Released on September 26

Canon will release a new firmware version 1.4.0 for the Canon EOS R mirrorless camera on September 26, 2019. This is a major firmware update with a lot of autofocus updates and bug fixes.

Canon EOS M200 to be Announced Soon

Canon EOS M200 camera is rumored to be announced soon. The entry-level APS-c mirrorless camera will replace the current EOS M100.

First of all we have to say this is the line that is intended for entry-level photographers. So we expect the camera will feature the 24MP APS-c unit. It will not be the same 32.5MP APS-C Sensor found on the Canon EOS 90D and Canon EOS M6 Mark II.

NIKKOR Z 16-35mm f/2.8 Lens Patent

Nikon has filed a new Z-mount lens patent for Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. This patent is for Nikon 16-35mm f/2.8 Z-mount lens designed to be used on Z6 & Z7 cameras.

New rumored Nikon Z-mount lens roadmap have also been leaked. From an 85mm f/1.2 to a 100-300mm f/4, it seems Nikon has a lot of glass in the pipeline for its full-frame mirrorless system.
