Canon is rumored to be working on a RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens. The super telephoto prime lens will be designed for Canon full frame mirrorless cameras.
According to the source, this RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens will come with a “new and unique” feature for super telephoto lenses. Official announcement for the Canon RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens to happen sometime in 2020 along with RF 500mm f/4L IS USM lens.
These rumored super telephoto prime lenses for Canon full frame mirrorless cameras are expected to arrive in 2020. So they are not in the list of Canon RF Lens Roadmap 2020.
In addition, the new Canon’s “holy trinity” RF mount zoom lenses will start shipping before the end of July 2019.
