Nikon is rumored to introduce the previously mentioned NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens later this month. The bright telephoto-prime optic is already in the updated Nikon Z-mount Lens Roadmap 2019 – 2021 and scheduled for this Spring.
Short-telephoto prime is designed for FX-format Nikon full frame cameras such as the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7.
Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture helps to achieve shallow depth of field imagery and also benefits working in low-light conditions.
After the release of NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens the lineup will probably meet several telephoto zoom models.
- The NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 lens is coming in the last quarter of 2019
- The NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/4 lens is coming in the second half of 2020
