Notice Regarding Some Operations of OM SYSTEM OM-1

The OM SYSTEM OM-1 flagship mirrorless camera is freezing when shooting with the EVF (viewfinder) frame rate set to “high speed”. OM System just release a notice that they will fix this issue via a new firmware update.

The OM System OM-1 is a new flagship Micro Four Thirds camera that can shoot 20 megapixel images at 50fps and record 4K/60p movies. The OM SYSTEM OM-1 camera is temporarily out of stock at all the major US stores: AmazonB&HAdorama. Stay tuned.

We are currently receiving inquiries from customers using the “OM SYSTEM OM-1” that the camera freezes during shooting.

As a result of our research, it was found that when shooting with the EVF (viewfinder) frame rate set to “high speed”, freezes occur depending on the shooting conditions.
We are currently preparing for his web release of firmware that has identified the cause and addressed this phenomenon.

Customers who have experienced the above phenomenon are kindly requested to set the EVF frame rate to “Standard” before using it.

We will inform you of the firmware release date at a later date, so please wait for a while.
