Panasonic LUMIX S5 Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

Panasonic announced the LUMIX S5 full-frame mirrorless camera. The Panasonic S5 will join the current S1, S1R and S1H models. Panasonic S5 will be unveiled on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at 14:00 UTC.

In addition, the Panasonic Lumix S5 mirrorless camera is already listed at B&H, and preorder will start at 10am ET, September 2. Canon EOS R5 Firmware Version 1.1.0 Now Available for Download

Canon EOS R5 Firmware Version 1.1.0 is now available for download online at Canon USA. Canon also announced future firmware plans for Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III cameras.

Also a new firmware update will be coming in early September that addresses the RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM.

Canon EOS M7 & EOS M50 Mark II to be Announced in late 2020

Canon is rumored to announce two new Canon EOS M mirrorless camera bodies in Q4 of 2020: one is the flagship “Canon EOS M7“, and the other is the Canon EOS M50 Mark II. The official announcement date is NOT confirmed yet by our trusted sources, so please treat this information accordingly.

Canon EOS M7

The Canon EOS M7 will be the new flagship model of the EOS M mirrorless lineup, and it will be an EOS M body of “greater durability and performance than you’d expect from an M5 follow-up”.  According to the report from CanonRumors, this Canon EOS M7 mirrorless camera “will reportedly have the same 32MP sensor as the Canon EOS M6 Mark II, as well as IBIS, Dual Card slots, and ‘all the bells and whistles’“.

In addition, Canon will announce a new “higher-end” EF-M lens long with the Canon EOS M7. The official announcement is scheduled to be in late 2020. Olympus Updates Firmware for E-M1X, E-M II, E-M1 III, E-M5 III Cameras

Olympus released a new firmware update. Version 3.3 for the OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Version 1.3 for the OM-D E-M1X, Version 1.2 for OM-D E-M5 Mark III and Version 1.1 for OM-D E-M1 Mark III now available for download.

This new firmware provides feature enhancements for photographers and ability to use focus stacking photography with M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS lens ($1,499 at B&H, Adorama).
